We are looking for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team.  The Shipping and Receiving Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient movement of goods within our irrigation and fumigation operations. This position is responsible for handling all aspects of inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting warehouse organization and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and familiar with agricultural products such as fumigants, irrigation components, fertilizers, and related equipment.
 

Primary Responsibilities:

Shipping Duties

  • Pick and stage all orders for secondary check
  • After secondary check, package or palletize all outbound orders and prepare for delivery
  • Label, organize and stage all project orders that are not ready for immediate delivery in the warehouse
  • Generate shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, shipping labels, packing slips) using ERP or TMS systems (e.g., Sage, eShipping, UPS Worldship)
  • Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and secure packaging of all outgoing materials
  • Load outgoing freight onto trucks using forklifts or pallet jacks
  • Assist with loading and securing outgoing deliveries on TriEst trucks

Receiving Duties

  • Inspect incoming shipments for damage and verify accuracy of incoming shipments against the carrier’s Bill of Lading (e.g., number of pallets)
  • Verify accuracy of contents of incoming shipments against the vendor’s packing slip
  • Receive materials into inventory system, generate receiving paperwork and report discrepancies to Hub Manager
  • Separate non-stock materials and attach receiving paperwork, group materials for projects together
  • Put away stock materials in designated warehouse locations

Inventory & Documentation

  • While picking orders, maintain accurate pick tickets for Hub Manager to generate shipments
  • While taking in returns, fill out return forms for Hub Manager to enter RMA’s
  • Conduct routine cycle counts of inventory and assist with maintaining accurate bin locations

Compliance & Safety

  • Follow all safety guidelines for handling fumigants, irrigation chemicals, and heavy equipment
  • Comply with OSHA, DOT, and internal company standards for storage and shipment of regulated products
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards
  • Report safety concerns, damaged goods, or non-compliance issues to supervisors

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
  • Positive and proactive in supporting team goals
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 lbs regularly
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
  • Ability to work outdoors
  • Basic literacy and math skills (for counting order materials and inventory)
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer literacy (for order lookups, inventory systems and shipping programs)
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Previous warehouse or material handling experience
  • Familiarity with irrigation products (pipe and fittings, hardware, sprinklers, valves, etc.)
  • Forklift or pallet jack experience (certifications not required)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
